Lita Rossana Ford (also also known as Lita Ford) is a British born American guitar vocalist who played as the lead vocalist for The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. They were noticed for their provocative songs and punk-rock design. It was not possible for the band to be popular in America, but they gained a lot of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career proved successful following the group break-up. She took voice lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge.
